Mumford & Sons are returning to San Francisco on October 20th. They will be playing at The Warfield, earlier this year they sold out both Popscene and Slim’s. Presale begins this morning at 10am with the password: GOLDENVOICE.
Kele, the lead singer of Bloc Party, is playing a solo show at Mezzanine on September 18. Kele released his first solo album, titled The Boxer, on June 21st. In an interview with CHARTattack, Okereke explained the album title, saying “as a boxer, you have to rely on nobody else but yourself to achieve what it is you want to achieve. Even though you take hits, you have to keep focus on your priorities and keep going. I thought that was an inspiring image.”
The show will also have Does It Offend You Yeah? opening.

Treasure Island Music Festival Early Bird tickets go on sale this morning.
LCD Soundsystem and Belle & Sebastian are the two headliners, along with a lot of other great bands. The festival takes place on Treasure Island October 16th and 17th.
Vampire Weekend is returning to the Bay Area after two sold out Fox Theater shows back in April.
They are playing at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley on Saturday, September 25th.

As teenagers, Saam Hagshenas and Jonathan Marks formed a band in the Midwest town of Rockford, Illinois. Eight years later, in Chicago, they become Hey Champ and add Pete Dougherty as the third member. The trio was signed by Lupe Fiasco’s label, 1st & 15th, in 2008. They have since been touring with everyone from Justice to Lupe himself.
Hey Champ will release their highly anticipated debut album Star on July 13 and play Popscene on July 15th.
